Scott Alan Mendesis a former professional rodeo from Visalia, California, and is now in Texas. He was born on the 4th of July, 1969, and is known as the world champion bull rider and the founder of Western Harvest Ministries, where he is quite active in extending different industries for different cases. Scott’s ancestry was surrounded by rodeo talents- his grandfather, Frank Mendes, was a member of the predecessor Cowboys Turtles Association, and his father, Alan Mendes, and younger brother, Tony also rode bulls. Scott was highly influenced by the athletic enthusiasm within his family.
He won the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Bull Riding World Championship and is a Rodeo Judge inventor for the original rodeo card game. Scott was also a co-founder of the Professional Bull Riders (PBR). Every month, Mendes arranges bull riding camps where people from all around the world belonging to the age group 12-30 can participate. In 1985 and 1986, he won the Nevada State High School bull riding titles and also qualified for the High School National Finals.
His professional career marks the qualifications for the NFR five times, the Bull Riders Only World Finals twice, and twice for the PBR World Finals too. He competed in the Championship Bull Riding (CBR). 1997 was the pinnacle and milestone of Shawn’s bull riding career as he won more money than any other bull rider in the PRCA. He has also been crowned the World Champion. His last attempt at professional bull riding was at a PRCA rodeo in Texas in August 2005.
